- For Hertz, with only an eight-month lead time, managed to design, build and operationalize a complete IT and telecommunications infrastructure and implement all the necessary systems which allowed the build out of over 50 stores, 2 global call centers and several maintenance centers in Brazil.
- At AMEX, as Chief of Staff and Global Program Director for the IT Head of the Global Network Services Division, with 45 sites worldwide, was recognized IT global strategist, leader and IT Governance specialist with responsibility for managing large global programs, designing and executing IT solutions for multi-country franchises, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Led a major transformational and globalization efforts for Barclays Bank in Portugal, as CIO got the country’s operation in full compliance with the European Community requirements, globalization strategies and prepared the company to support its aggressive growth plans;
- Simultaneously was the responsible for the disaster recovery and business continuation area and the IT executive for the M&A group that absorbed Citibank’s credit card and banking operations in Italy, Spain, France and Portugal.
- Information Technology Vice President for Brinks Latin America, a multi-country operation including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, México, Panamá, Perú, Puerto Rico and Venezuela, a two billion revenue region, representing 40% of Brinks’ global business:
- Moved from decentralized to regionalized model and launched initiatives to address risk mitigation, operational efficiencies, capacity and business continuity aspects, including: alternative IT delivery models such as a Hybrid Cloud and IT Infrastructure as a Service, IT Governance and Portfolio Management, Investment Optimization, Architecture, PPM process and tool, Agile Development, Vendor and Relationship Management;
- Co-managed construction of the LATAM Headquarters and a new Finance Center of Excellence and Shared Services that centralized F&A costs monthly closing and consolidation, account reconciliations, corporate reporting and transactional processing of procure to pay, order to cash, fixed assets, cash management, and general ledger. A US$ 40M/ 3-year program that eliminated the need for 600 positions across the region utilizing ORACLE EBS and KOFAX imaging platform;
- Implemented a regional Business Process Management and optimization program that aligned and optimized business processes up to 15%.
